I’m starting small as Pen & Signal takes shape — a few online and in-person workshops, with more to come as I learn what this new chapter wants to be.
All workshops are facilitated by myself, Peggy Simmons, and use the Amherst Artists and Writers workshop methodology. I will set the tone, introduce the guidelines, and suggest a prompt. We will all write, and share what we wrote, if we like. Feedback to just-written work is always positive.
To learn more about my workshops, check out the work I did in Oakland for a dozen years: Green Windows: Art of Interchange.
Please fill out this form if you want to keep in touch but can't make it to upcoming workshops.

We write what’s underneath.
We listen through the page:
to ourselves
to each other
to the words that arrive
right before we’re ready for them.
We write to tune in
uncover the buried phrases
say what we meant all along.
Honest. Quietly transformative.
Life happens, and plans change — I understand.
